Formats
There
are many different formats available for your mailing. The content, the amount
of information, and of course, your budget all help determine which format to
use. We can help you select the format that is best for your message.
• Personalized Letters - The most
personal way to communicate by direct mail is in a letter. The letter can
contain information specific to the recipient.
• Cards - These are great for sending
a quick message to either your existing customers or to others telling of a
future sale, a new product or service, or maybe directing a potential client to
your web site. Common sizes are 5½ x 4¼ and 8½ x 5½.
• Flyers - This popular format is efficient since
there’s no envelope and the mailer is self-contained. Usually the message is
“poster” style on one side of an 8½ x 11 or 8½ x 14 sheet with the addressing and other
information on the back side.
• Brochures - A brochure can supply
plenty of information about your product or service or give general information
about your company. Two of the most common sizes are 8½ x 11 and 8½ x 14.
• Newsletters
- Almost always sent to existing customers or members, this format is used
to keep them informed on issues concerning your company, product or service.
Event calendars, useful tips, contact information, and other items of interest
will remind your customer that you are there to serve them. 8½ x 11, 8½ x 14
and 11 x 17 sizes are common.
